Our Government is being urged to take action against Fiji over its treatment of opposition politicians.
It follows the suspension of a third opposition MP last week until the end of the current Fijian Parliamentary term.
The Bainimarama Government has used its Parliamentary majority to have three opposition MPs suspended for the rest of the Parliamentary term.
The most recent suspension, that of Sodelpa MP Ratu Isoa Tikoca, happened last week.

Labour MP David Shearer is worried by the latest suspension, saying it shows Fiji's democracy is at the whim of the Bainimarama Government.
"This is not how good democracy works and how good parliamentary process works. I just don't believe that if that what we have here is a democracy that is functioning as a democracy should be."
Mr Shearer said our Government should respond.
"There was an invitation for a state visit by Mr Bainimarama to come to New Zealand. I don't think that should be held until we see some improvements."
"We should put that on hold. If he wants to come here as a private citizen that's fine."
