New Forms of Religion Not in Line with 1874 Deed of Cession

I believe that Fijians need to be honest and upright with every immigrant race in Fiji about what I am outlining below regarding our original Charter. I have pasted the following below from the other forum on "Democracy and the Fijian People" since it has been a "sensitive" subject for years and I think that it is time to be thrashed out and discussed. Yes, religion is another subject that needs to be discussed in relation to the Fijians' demise in the control of their land and qoliqoli and their vanua as a whole.

In the Fiji Legislative Council, July, 1946, this resolution was passed;

“That in the opinion of this Council, this Colony stands by the terms of the Deed of Cession and shall consider that document as a Charter for the Fijian people".

Now if we are to look into the Deed of Cession, the Chiefs had stated that Fiji should always be ruled with Christian principles and to regard Christ as the saviour of this heathen country.

However, even though the Fijians have forsaken their idol gods with the rest of the Fijians "secretly" worshipping their kalou vu, other races have continued to freely and

openly worship their gods such as the Hindus, Muslims, Freemasons, etc.

Even the Police Force have been reluctant to prosecute Hindus, Muslims, Freemasons etc under the Penal Code under the section of performing witchcraft according to the real definition and the spirit of the Deed of Cession and the 1946 July, Legislative Council Resolution.

Moreover, the Town and Country Act and Department, the NLTB under the NLTB Act and other government departments with related legislations have been granting building approvals for these idol temples throughout the years without considering the Deed of Cession and the 1946 July Legislative Council.

The Fijian leaders have been very weak in denouncing these practices and have entertained these evil worshipping in Fiji because these " gods" are the gods of these businessmen that are "perceived" as the engine of our economy growth.

This has resulted in their business dark secrets to be hidden from us because we have allowed their "gods" to reign in Fiji. Their secrets of tax scams, collusions, inside trading etc have bankrupt our economy as highlighted in C4.5 such as the YP Reddy  tax scheme, Radisson Apartment 76 times claim without the Narewa landowners knowledge etc are all part of their "gods" reign in Fiji.

Now, Khaiyum has openly challenged our Christian leaders in Fiji including the set up on Ratabacaca's case, dictating the Methodist conference etc. We have been sliding down continually because of the mistake of not linking our political, financial, religion etc into the spiritual realm of our country.

As stated in the Lord's prayer, .."Let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven".Our chiefs have done their part during the Deed of Cession in 1874.We should now declare as criminal under the Penal Code all the idol worshipping in Fiji in order to be fair to our forefathers who have forsaken their "ancient gods" or we will be answerable to God on Judgement Day.

I would like to remind us of God's warning against idolatry in Deutoronomy 4:39-40;

"Understand this today and take it to heart: the Lord is God indeed, in heaven above as on earth beneath, he and no other. Keep his laws and commandments as I give them to you today".

In Deutoronomy 4:19 "Do not be tempted to worship and serve what you see in the sky - the sun, the moon, and the stars. The Lord your God has given these to all other peoples for them to worship : 20 But you are the people he rescued from Egypt, that blazing furnace. He brought you out to make his own people, as you are today".

Furthermore, Deutoronomy 4:39-40; v39 " So remember today and never forget, the lord is God in heaven and on earth. There is no other god. v40 Obey all his laws that I have given you today, and all will go well with you and your descendants. You will continue to live in the land that the Lord your God is giving you to be yours forever."

Democracy is about equality and freedom. The Fijians have forsaken their ancient gods because of the desire of the Chiefs in the 1874 Deed of Cession resulting in these ancient and idol worshipping to be criminalised under Fiji's penal code (with some exceptions still secretly worshipping ancient, foreign gods and idols).

However, the rest of the population, other races, have been allowed to serve ancient and foreign gods in public until now.

Unless we realise this grave mistake, God's curse will continue to be on the Fijian race resulting in unexplainable stupidity (unexplainable approval land deals-land bank etc), laziness, unsuccesful business ventures etc.

I feel that one way or the other, Fijians need to wake up to this reality of liberalising our country in this last days for God's Kingdom.
