Army Privates Paid More than USP Undergrads to Protect Fiji Dictator!

We have all been hearing of the exorbitant amount Fiji's dictator has been paying his foot soldiers in order to stay in power. Indeed such pay is well unmatched to the low skills, inexperience and lack of qualifications of the new recruits he has been gathering around him as he runs scared from his fellow citizens. He is clearly buying their loyalty by throwing money at them. And it is not even his money to waste.

This after all is the man who was ordered to pay back money to the State for blowing his departmental budget! So you have a Fox guarding the Chicken Coop! The only sad thing about it all, Fiji just can't afford it and worse still, the repressed people of Fiji can't even lift a finger for fear of being arrested because of the draconian PER.

Thanks to our sources, we can now reveal the pay scale for the Fiji military which provides proof of how the Dictator Bainimarama is overpaying his foot soldiers at the expense of those more academically qualified and much needed to resurrect Fiji's sick and ailing economy.

The table below would indicate that starting pay for a private of $10,194.00 is higher than that for a USP graduate! How idiotic is that? That is a direct reflection of the poorly educated Dictator and his corrupt gang of military thieves, the best of whom had no chance of getting enough marks at 6th or 7th form, to even sniff studying at USP. That is why they would join the military. And for the Dictator Bainimarama, that still resulted in him leading from the back of his class at whatever officer training course he attended.

The message one draws from this then is the devaluing of high level education by the illegal regime. What does the illegal Minister of Education has to say on this? What is the point of his formal education pathway if those who pursue military life gets rewarded more? Such is the lunacy in the policy and priorities pursued by the unelected military regime in Fiji. The military is one of the most unproductive sector of government spending and yet its budget keeps growing and growing.

The rationale for it does not make any economic sense other than to prop up an authoritarian dictatorship now very much afraid of its own shadow. It is a spineless way to run a nation and Fiji has been suffering manifold as a direct result. That is why its removal must be a priority for all loyal Fiji peoples where ever they are around the globe. Then and only then, can the lunacy end, and the people of Fiji be unshackled from the tyranny that has engulfed them since 5 December 2006.
