Truth Hurts as Bainimarama Attacks his Illegal Government's Critics

FBC News - Monday, October 18, 2010

People who continue to say the country is going through tough times are trying to mislead people into thinking that everything was okay in the past says Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama.

Bainimarama says many things were not functioning and the country was going nowhere with the way things were done in the past.

He says roads were not being constructed, electricity was not being connected to rural areas, and not much development work was carried out in the past – but his government was now changing this.

Bainimarama made the statement while launching a new electricity power service at Natoaika Village in Naitasiri.

He told Naitasiri villagers his government is not an elected one - but is working hard and has a definitive plan to hand over a better Fiji to a new government in 2014.

Bainimarama also called on people not to be swayed by the lies that are spread through by those working to undermine his government.
