More Gloom for Fiji by Frank's illegal Regime

When the Indian coolies first arrived in Fiji in 1879, one hundred and thirty years ago, they arrived under a contract - a sort of Constitution - to work under the scorching Fijian sun for the next five years. Despite the harshness and brutality of the indenture system, they stoically served out their contract, and later a vast majority of them decided to settle down permanently in Fiji. Their settlement in the country was only possible because of the generosity of the i-taukei Fijians. The inhumane treatment the indentured Indians suffered at the hands of their masters on the plantations, between 1879 and 1916 (a period remembered in Indo-Fijian folklore as narak (hell) when the indenture system was stopped permanenly, still lingers on. As one laborer who arrived in 1911 recalled: “When we arriver in Fiji we wire herded into a punt like pigs and taken to Nukulau where we stayer for a fortnight. We wire given rice full of Worms and kept and fed like animals. Later we wire separated into groups for various emploiers to choose who they wanted. We got to Navua and wire given a three-legged pot, a large spoon, a bucket and a billycan, and some rice. We then went to Nakauleu where we saw the lines.”Even the Indian women did not escape the yoke of indenture. According to Miss Hannah Dudley of the Methodist Mission: “They arrive in this country timid, fearful women, not knwoing where they are to be sent. They are alloted to plantations like so many dumb animals. If they do not perform their work satisfactorily they are struck or fined, or sent to gaol The life on the plantations alters their demeanour and even their very faces. Some look crushed and broken-hearted, others sullen, others hard and evil. I shall never forget the first time I saw indentured women when they wire returning from their day’s work. The look on those women’s faces hausts me.”Yet these crushed but brave men and women on a foreign soil, thousands of miles away from their motherland, served out their five year contract on the sugar, tea, and other plantations. They waited for their freedom. And that is why, on 14 May, ever year, their descendents could hold their head high, for they not only had a chequered history but held the moral torchlight against brutality, oppression and lawlessness. But this May it will be different, for many of them, will, and should hold their heads in same, for not only planning the 2006 coup, but publicly endorsing it - the likes of the $2miilion thief Mahendra Chaudhry (who swindled his own tribe), the illegal Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, the champion of human rights abuses Shaista Shameem and the so-called Gandhite professor Satendra Nandan. There are countless others whose names are not worth repeating. The silent ones are eqully guilty - the likes of Jai Ram Reddy, now serving on an international court dishing out justice to others. It is time courageous Indo-Fijians stood up and told the thuggish Bainimarama and his gang - NOT in our NAME - i.e. stop using the proposed electoral system to destory Fiji, which our ancestors helped bild into the way the world should be. To those shameless Indo-Fijian coup apologists - learn from you coolie ancestors - they served out their contract for five years, and so should have the Qarase government. No electoral system will bring peace and security to the Indo-Fijians, and especially not Bainimarama’s guns.Your fate will be decided by the grassroot i-taukei Fijians and their chiefs, and that will be long before 2014, most probably in a violent revolution, which seems the only language the men of gun understand. Just because the i-taukei have not spoken out, does not mean they are afraid of Bainimarama’s guns - 5,000 military goons will be no match for 500,000 angry and abused i-taukei Fijians. Vengeance MUST be theirs - and rightly so, to be masters in their own land. You coolie supporters of the coup - listen to Mahatma Gandhi: “There have been tyrants, and murderers, and for a time they can seem invincible, but in the end they always fall. Think of it ? Always.”It is time the i-taukei woke up before Bainimarama and his pro-coup Indo-Fijian apologists destroyed your God-given land.

Savenaca Narube moves back to his Namadi home
April 15, 2009
Ex-governor of Reserve Bank of Fiji, Savenaca Narube is all packed and ready to move back to his home in Namadi.
He and Naigulevu join a long list of highly experienced and well educated men and women who have been prematurely taken away from their leadership positions as a result of Frank & Co.s “new order” blitz.
For these people, it must be a real opportunity to take much their needed rest after many years of service while they watch from the sideline as Fiji torpedos southward.

Fijian Holdings Limited deputy chairman, Colonel Aziz Mohammed, is one of Fiji’s new high court judge.
It means that he will now have to resign from the FHL board after discharging a whole pile of dung on the now caput FHL/BP deal.
Aziz Mohammed, who is also chairman of Merchant Bank, a subsidiary of FHL, will also have to resign from that position to take up his treasonous high court judge appointment.
For Aziz, committing treason is not a concern considering the amount of illegal acts he has already committed to achieve his high court judge dream.
But the short-lived fame and glory he is submerged in right now will be aborted sooner than he is expecting.

Ana Rokomokoti continues on her illegal track
April 15, 2009
The military lawyer cum magistrate cum chief registrar is a classic example of a person whose career has been turbo-charged to greater heights within 2.5years simply because of her willingness to be used and abused by Frank & Co. While we like the idea of seeing people achieve things in life, we however rebuke those like Ana Rokomokoti who hijack positions from more deserving individuals with the barrel of the gun. Such behavior Ana is cheap and very low and in the end, it is you who will have to account for your action. You have but lost whatever little respect people had for you. You have no reputation left and shame on you Ana Rokomokoti!

Naigulevu, the now ex-boss of Fiji’s Department of Public Prosecution, will not subject himself to giving a treasonous oath under Frank’s new imposed order. Like the ex-governor of Reserve Bank of Fiji, Savenaca Narube, Naigulevu has decided to give up his high profile job for the sake of upholding his reputation as a law-abiding citizen of Fiji. We salute Naigulevu for his ethical choice and we wish him well in his endeavour. All the best sir!

55 years old & over Fiji citizens banished
April 15, 2009
To be 55 years and over is not a very cool thing in Fiji any more. And what a sad thing to do to parents and grand parents in this age group who had given their whole life in serving as true civil servants. Our hearts bleed for Fiji’s older but wiser generation as they are relegated to second class citizen in a very disrespectful manner that it was enacted via an illegal decree. It has come on a day when the Fijian people are caught in a 20% Fiji dollar devaluation net while their FNPF retirement safety net has been pulled away from them. This is definitely not the way to treat Fiji’s seniors and it is unacceptable. We’re pretty sure that many would rather go without the Fiji security forces but maintain these experienced productive pool of people until 60 years.

Australian Bar Association says Australia must spearhead international action against Fiji’s military dictatorship
April 15, 2009
The Vice President of the Australian Bar Association, Mr Peter Riordan, said today:
“The pretence that the military junta of Frank Bainimarama was acting in accordance with the constitution has been removed by the declaration of the Fiji’s Court of Appeal last Thursday. It is now clear that Fiji is ruled by an illegitimate military dictatorship. It is critical that governments throughout the world, and particularly of the South Pacific, act strongly and demand the return of democracy in Fiji. This is necessary not only because it is the right thing; but to support the brave people of Fiji in the media, the law and the community who are prepared to speak up and call for a return of the rule of law.”

Mr Riordan said that the Australian Government should request undertakings from the Commodore Frank Bainimarama, the purported Prime Minister of Fiji, that the personal welfare of the judiciary of Fiji and Australians living in Fiji will be assured.
He also said “It is imperative that the Australian Government, through our Fijian consulate or otherwise, monitors the actions of the military regime particularly for any interference with the courts, judges, lawyers or court users.”

Mr Riordan said that Australia should be at the forefront of international action against the military dictatorship. “The Fijian army is substantially financed by the United Nations through international deployments. The conduct of the army in ending the rule of law in Fiji means that it is totally inappropriate that it should have any continuing role in the maintenance of law & order in the international community. Presumably the Australian Government will take such action as it considers necessary to withdraw support for the regime through tourism and sporting ties.”

ABC radio network to Fiji shut down by regime
April 15, 2009
Fiji listeners are reporting that the Radio Australia ABC network on FM92.6 is silent. The regime has shut it (Fiji-based receiver) down after the interview by the 3 appeals judges was broadcasted live yesterday to the Fiji listeners. We are told that many had their radio dial permanently programmed on FM92.6 yesterday but that service was gone today as the regime continues to shut down any negative media reporting on their usurped authority.

Frank is not believable at QEB
April 15, 2009
Our sources from QEB say that Frank’s address to them this morning was unconvincing and laughable. They say they were there simply to obey orders but as soon as they were dismissed, Frank’s code name “Kiuva” was torn to bits with all the jeering, hissing and booing as they referred to him as a big “lasulasu” (liar). Frank might think he can convince all the military boys and girls to accept his lies but we can tell you right here that many of his people are not convinced after he failed to explain to them why he abrogated the constitution. It seems that they can live with all the other bull that Frank tells them but not the claimed abrogation of the constitution. That is the sticky bit that will stick Frank to the sword that he is living by.

Detaining civilians will not help the regime
April 15, 2009
Detaining people unnecessary will only harden peoples’ determination to object to the doings of the illegal junta. The arresting of journalist Edwin Nand and Fiji Law Society boss, Dorsami Naidu, was really unnecessary. It didn’t deter anyone from anything except to create bad blood between the victims friends and families vs Frank’s junta. We are happy to be advised that warnings issued to certain individuals made the military regime re-think about their stupid intimidating tactics. They were stupid mistakes ready to happy that would have attracted unnecessary attention onto themselves and judging from Frank’s allergy towards positive criticisms, it is better that Frank & Co. mind their own business, get on with whatever they want to do, and leave the people alone to carry on with their business. Detaining and intimidating is counter-productive to any nation building nonsense Frank & Co. are talking about.

Steve Penny’s prophecy posting on demand
April 15, 2009
PROPHECY BY STEVE PENNY AT CENTRAL CHRISTIAN CENTRE, Nausori, Fiji - Monday,3 November,1997 “This nation shall experience a cloud of the glory of God, the anointing coming down upon this nation like a thick cloud filled with rain, filled with great potential and it will come down and it will blanket all of the islands like a cloud and it won’t come and just wash across and go, but it will settle and it will continue to fall…the rain of God’s presence will fall on this nation in a powerful way. And the reviving of the Spirit…literally within five years, this nation will be awash with a great Revival.
One side to another, this nation will literally be under the blanket of a move of the Spirit of God like you’ve never seen before. Just about every denomination will be touched…only those that are very, very resistant will hold out against it, but whole denominations will be swept into this move of the Spirit. There’ll be unprecedented unity amongst the church together in Fiji. There will literally be a wonder to people of other nations. You will have many people visit your islands, not because of the beauty, not to be a tourist, but because of the presence of God resting on the islands. It won’t be one little spot here or there, but it will be like a blanket that sits over the nation and the Spirit of God will move back and forwards. Sometimes, it’ll be so intense in another island and another city and then it’ll move and come and sweep here and then it’s like it’ll move around and the Spirit of God will literally be like waves across the island back and forth around the island, but together you’ll be under the blanket of God’s favour and blessing. But a number of things will happen during that time.
One will be that a man of sedition, a man of scheming will rise up in your political arena and he will come quickly into prominence. Before you know it, he’ll have a position of influence in the nation, but he’ll be a man of sedition and he will bring conflicts. There will be a time when you have civil unrest on your streets and there won’t be a massive across the nation, but there will be civil unrest in areas of this nation and there will be even some bloodshed. This man will rise very quickly, but because of the anointing of the Spirit blanketing the island and the church being in revival, the church will rise up and call and sound an alarm. When they see this happen, this man who begins to cause unrest in the streets, the church will literally flock together in huge prayer concerts, great prayer gatherings and will break the power of that thing. Where in the natural, the papers will be predicting doom and gloom, they will break the power of that thing and bring it to nought and the revival will continue on. In fact, because of that, many people will turn to the Lord in that hour, will come to the Lord…great move of the Spirit. You’ll know these things are happening because both in the natural, God will show you things and in the Spirit, you’ll be able to recognise them. Within maybe 2-3 years, just in the next few years, one of your sporting teams, I don’t know which one, but one of your sporting teams will gain great prominence.
They will win a great event beyond what they were expected to win and they’ll come back to Fiji and there’ll be great celebrations and they’ll be national heroes. You, the church, watch! When that happens, God’s telling you that as a sign, because at the same time as that happens and I saw this vision of the nation celebrating this great victory and it was almost like in the middle of their celebrations, something happened in the nation and the joy turned to mourning. The Lord didn’t show me what that was, but it’s like there was a disaster or something happened and the laughter just stopped in mid-sentence and they began to mourn. But out of that turn-around, there would be rising, it’s like there would rise up a cry unto God from the nation. Even those outside the church will cry. They will be praying together in public,”God, help us!” Out of that will come a great release even again, of people being led to the Lord, finding the Lord. There’s a tremendous awakening starting to happen amongst the people of this nation, out of religion, out of Hinduism, out of culture, an awakening concerning the things of the Spirit of God. You watch that continue in the next few years in this nation.
Your economy will continue to increase over the next few years and there’ll be a sense of, well,”This is wonderful!” and then, there’ll come a crash and your dollar, I literally saw your dollar will plummet. And again, these things in the natural, God turns them around and uses them to bring favour to the church and the government will literally turn to the church, not those churches that are playing games, but those that are full of the Holy Spirit, who’ve shown they love their nation. The government will turn to the church and say,”We want you to take over this area of ministry to the broken. We want you (and the government will begin to favour churches) to minister to the homeless, to the children, to those that are broken.” Churches will be raised up who will have great strength to be able to minister to the broken and the hurting in the nation.
God is going to raise up across this nation, many men and women that will go out from this nation. The fire of God will be upon them and they will literally be sent forth from this place. You will have people that go to nations that in the past, have sent missionaries here. You will send missionaries to these nations. I literally saw, out of Fiji, a great like a volcano erupt and many fiery arrows, people alive with the Spirit of God literally being translated, transported, transferred, removed from this place and set in another place and God would cause them there to take the anointing and the fire of God that’s on them and begin to burn in other places. Some of you already have a burden for other nations. Listen, the time is here to set your sails towards those places. God wants to raise up men in this place in the next few years that have learned how to live under the cloud of His presence, so that when you go, the cloud will go with you and places where they have literally had a little rain of the Spirit, just little showers, you will take the cloud that rests on this nation and you will take the cloud and it’ll rest on that place also and it shall continue to rain and spread across the nations.
I saw planes flying, criss-crossing across the islands. The airlines are going to have to put on more flights because of the revival. People are going to want to go from town to city to city, town to town where God’s moving and they will come in masse to a place and celebrate and then they’ll go somewhere else. There’ll be more flights coming in. God will bring ministers in that you haven’t even invited, but the Spirit of God will put it upon their heart,”I must go to Fiji! I must be a part of what’s happening there. I must sow the gifting that God’s given me into that place.”
I don’t think I’ve prophesied over a nation quite as significantly concerning a revival, as I am even here today for Fiji. Wherever I go, I prophesy this revival and blessings in many nations, but I feel a stirring about Fiji. I feel like God is saying,”There is something significant that is going to take place in those islands, for you are prepared to abandon that which has been, for that which is coming.
You are prepared to embrace the move of the Spirit with abandonment that not many other places are.” The Lord says,”I am going to cause a people that will rise up that literally shake off the shackles of their past, of their upbringing, of their culture and begin to dance with joy and celebrate the Kingdom of God, manifest in their midst, with an incredible liberty and freedom.” You’re going to have meetings that go all night (isn’t that fantastic!), meetings that go all night as the Spirit of God comes upon. There’ll be some meetings where you’ll just literally sit under the power of God for hours. Nobody does anything, but the glory of God rests upon the place. Just a few hours later, a song will begin and that will go for hours, singing and worship and the Spirit of God’s going to completely dominate the church scene in this nation. Dominate…that’s the best word. The Spirit of God’s going to come and dominate the spiritual arena of this nation.
There are some leaders that are presently in leadership in this nation. You will wake up one morning in the next couple of years and they’ll be gone…just gone, just no longer in key
leadership because they have not allowed the Spirit of God to come. God is not into bowing to anybody. When God marks out a nation, there are times when the river begins to run and goes around the rocks, but as it gains strength, it sweeps all before. Some of those rocks are monuments to man’s best efforts and as the Spirit of God has begun to run, it has gone around. But you watch! In the next couple of years as the tide of the Spirit gains momentum, it will literally sweep all before. Some of those things that have been strong monuments will literally…you’ll wake up one morning and they won’t be there because God will have decided to bring His agenda into focus in that place.
I see God taking off the robes that you’ve worn of ministry of yesterday of a certain rank. I see God taking it off and putting on a robe, a garment of leadership of a different rank. God wants to promote, even here, many of you. He wants to promote you to a new level, another rank this season. When the Spirit of God breathes afresh in a nation, it awakens new heroes, new leaders. God often doesn’t use yesterday’s leaders, yesterday’s heroes. He looks for people that want to be promoted to carry a greater anointing for this hour. One of my greatest prayers in this hour is,”Father, please use me to carry your anointing.” I don’t presume on anything that I had yesterday. Oh, I did for a while. I said,”God,I’ve got a good church. I’ve grown up in this stuff. I know it all.” God said,”No,no. I don’t count on those things in the day of revival. I count on those whose hearts are hungry for more.” I began to pray,”God, please consider me worthy to carry this revival.” God said,”If you’ll let go of everything else and take off the robes of yesterday’s achievements, I can entrust you with greater things, yet, by My Spirit.”

Cost of living to rise hitting poor
April 15, 2009
Following the devaluation of the Fiji dollar by 20%, inflation or cost of living in Fiji is expected to rise given that the cost of imported food items and things will become more expensive due to the weakened Fiji dollar. This means that the cost of rice, flour, tea, and other basic items will increase hitting the pockets of poor people very hard. Expect to pay more for bus fares and fuel in the next few weeks as Fiji’s biggest import commodity, fuel, will be more expensive to buy.
It is time to go back to the land and start planting your own food people. Buy local made products, vegetable and fruits and cut off the fat from your weekly budget list.

Media showing signs of freedom
April 15, 2009
We are happy to see that the mainstream media are back on track reporting on some statements given by the illegitimate regime. We are however concerned about the blatant disregard showing the non-inclusion of comments by independent members of the public to give the reports the fairness and balanced reporting required of the media fraternity. It will be unfair of the media to just report on what the regime is doing and not seek public comments to provide constructive criticism.
If the regime does not want credible genuine public opinion, then the media should refrain from reporting the regime’s propaganda except for appointments, decrees, oustings, devaluation and things like that. But nothing on what Frank or Aiyaz thinks e.g “This is it, says Bainimarama” by Fiji village, Bainimarama criticizes former appeals judges court judges” by FBC etc. Who wants to know and who wants to read or hear Bainimarama say that? The people are sick and tired of his diatribe and have done well without it for the last few days.

Sada Reddy accepts RBF governor’s job under the invisible “new order”
April 15, 2009
Sada Reddy is now the official Reserve Bank of Fiji Governor after accepting the position under the invisible “new order”. Reddy who was the acting governor “til yesterday is a well known coup apologist who has been seen with Frank & Co. in some informal meetings pre and post coup.
His self-contained apartments in Rakiraki is a well-known hideout for Frank & Co. after the 2006 coup. But that’s ok. It’s all about choices again. He is a very experienced banker and we trust he will do what is best for Fiji.

Authorities clamp down on internet cafes
April 15, 2009
Signs of desperation people.
We have been informed by certain internet cafe owners that they’ve been told to close down while their business permits, internet networks, software, technology, archives and other matters are investigated and approved by some ITC government officials. These so-called “internet investigators” say they have been ordered to conduct the investigation under the “new law”. But these smart business owners argued back by asking the officials to produce the “law” that allows them to investigate their business. These internet cafe owners said the officials were unable to produce anything in writing but to say that they were sent by their superiors. To that the internet cafe owners replied that they were going to call the police to report them for harrasement of which the officers decided to just split and forget about it. So to all the internet cafe owners, don’t allow anyone to interfere with your business. Carry on normally and if possible, take video footages or camera shots of these wannabee internet hackers for future reference.

Coconut wireless ringing hot in Fiji
April 15, 2009
With the mainstream media’s political black-out still in place, the 413,000 rural dwellers in Fiji have been relying solely on information relayed to them over the phone or during visits by their loved ones. And these urbanite loved ones have been busy gathering their information from the uncensored blogs as they become the information centre for their rural families. The illegal regime has been completely cut-off from Fiji’s population leaving the people to come up with their own conclusions on why they are too slow in returning important governmental functions back to normality. The coconut wireless in Fiji is on busytone most of the time you call it.

Internet ban for all civil servants
April 15, 2009
The civil service have been put on a strict internet ban disabling internet connection to their work stations straight from the ITC Suva office, the information technology arm of government.
Civil servants report that they are forbidden from discussing anti-regime matters in the office and are discouraged from reading blogs after hours. We think the move is silly. Given the sinful nature of mankind, such directive will only prompt the civil servants to check-out the blogs in the comfort of their own homes, relatives/friends homes, or internet cafes, to see what exactly it is that the illegal goons don’t want them to see. We doubt it will keep the civil servants away from finding out the truth through their own informal coconut wireless networks
