Bainimarama calls on parties to behave 4/9/2009

Three political parties last night confirmed receiving a letter from the interim Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama on their conduct at the third President Political Dialogue Forum (PPDF) today.
The Soqosoqo Duavata ni Lewenivanua Party (SDL), National Federation Party (NFP) and the United People's Party (UPP) received the letter from Commodore Bainimarama on certain conduct required of them today.
It is understood Mr Bainimarama had told the three parties to behave at today's forum. The three parties were expected to be expelled from today's forum after Military's Land Force Commander Colonel Pita Driti warned Mr Bainimarama on their participation.
However, Mr Bainimarama gave the parties the green light with certain requirements from the interim Government. FijiSUN managed to establish Mr Bainimarama, in three separate letters, had told SDL leader and also ousted Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase, Pramod Rae NFP General Secretary and former Opposition Leader Mick Beddoes to ensure they had a positive outlook for today's forum.
The SDL and NFP have confirmed they had sent their responses to the interim Prime Minister regarding the letter they received yesterday.
The SDL party could not elaborate more on the letter however they said they were looking forward to the third Dialogue Forum which will take place at the Parliament complex at 9am today.
However, it was also confirmed an undertaking was sought from the three parties' yesterday afternoon.
Meanwhile, Colonel Driti confirmed he had spoken to Mr Bainimarama on the three parties' conduct.
He said he has requested Mr Bainimarama to remove the two political parties and certain NGOs from the Dialogue Forum.
He said his requests came after the continued attack of the interim Government and the RFMF from the three parties.
