Bainimarama told to honour word

A political party believes that interim Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama cannot be trusted with his promises for a general election.
National Federation Party general secretary, Pramod Rae said Cdre Bainimarama had made many statements in regards to the elections.
“We do not know for sure when the next general elections is going to be held,” he said.
His comments came after Pacnews reported him saying that God would decide when the election was to be held.
After his commitment to the forum working group in Tonga last October, Cdre Bainimarama seems double- minded about holding the election by March next year.
Pacnews reported his interview with a local radio station in which he said many people were trying to determine the election date and this was creating a lot of unnecessary pressure.
He said the election would only be held after a pathway to progress and stability was achieved and whether an election was held next year or in the next 10 to 15 years, it would all be part of God’s plan.
